It's really too bad Warrior wasn't successful because it's so so much better than last year's over-praised The Fighter. I don't know that I've ever experienced a sports film where I was rooting for both sides. The performances all around are really fantastic too.

It really charmed me. I didn't like all the characters or plotlines, but for the most part it manages to avoid the formula that plagues the genre and it's refreshing to have likeable characters as opposed to all those harpies played by Katherine Heigl and Kate Hudson.
