Bottom Line, I think that is horseshit. I think objectively the past success of everyone involved favors the movie being good but certainly doesn’t guarantee it. But that is not the point. The point is that if your problems with the movie have nothing to do with gender why do you have to unleash the rage when other

It’s amazing that you can even see your screen over all the BS you are spewing. And this is not about bad remakes or remakes that failed at the box office, this is about there being something else going on besides the usual resistance to remakes and people like you pretending that is the only thing going here. It

Oh, I’m sorry. I thought that people who disliked remakes were so passionate that they hunt down the remakes and smite them with their righteous fury. I was not aware that I had to take a census to get the outrage to appear. You should have the person that tracked you down and ignited your hatred of the Ghostbusters

Now playing

You are right, there is no upcoming remake/reboot of a well regarded classic that has been well received. My mistake.

There have been bad trailers and bad reboots, but nothing has received the bile this one has. Pretending like there is only one thing going on here is cowardly derailing of the worst kind. Even in the best light it is garbage gatekeeping of the worst kind.

Or maybe, there are two things going on here, one strain is people who have suddenly found the anti-reboot religion and this is the hill they have chosen to die on. And the other is man-baby assholes who are using that as a trojan horse to spread bile and be the primitive shits that they are.

The fact that this more boils down to internal politics and petty rivalries is the most frustrating part. Nobody expects Chris Hemsworth to do 7 episodes of Agents of SHIELD or for the next Thor movie to be based off the plot of Agents of SHIELD season 3 episode 17. Just maybe start with Jessica Jones being able to

Keep munching buddy.

Okay, who ungreyed the cockroach eating its own asshole?

Bright side: At least it is not as bad as Game of Thrones. Apparently.

What bugs me about this is not the opinion. If it was not for the uncertain future of ASOIAF, I would not be watching the show other that to catch reactions to stuff. But since the show is going to be the only ending I may get for a while, if ever, I’m tuning in. So while I’m excited for the show, I’m not a superfan

Lots of intriguing movies, I had not heard of Spectral but now I’m interested. I’m hoping that Star Trek Beyond and ID Resurgence deliver. I’m a big fantasy guy, but I don’t have high hopes for Warcraft, but it looks beautiful.

Excited for this, also surprised at the number of people with Dumb Opinions on Daredevil S2 in the comments. Hopefully this means that late next year we will get Defenders.

I was worried that there would not be a ton of oversensitive white people rushing in to to tell everyone that you got this whole racism thing wrong. I’m glad I was wrong. The collection of garbage people that comment on Gawker these days is truly extraordinary. So that’s something.

But the quote from Empire is not affected by Leia not being a Jedi. Luke defeats Vader and Palpatine in the end not by fighting, but reminding Vader of the man he used to be and reawakening Anakin Skywalker. And the only other person who could do that is Leia.

It seems to me that since Avengers and the end of Phase One, not even the movies have been that connected. In Phase One, every movie had something that pointed towards the Avengers. Despite the massive success, Marvel has rushed headlong in the other direction. Every movie is clearly set in the same world, but Phase

Whatever. I’M GONNA HOLD MY BREATH UNTIL THE INTERNET GIVES ME WHAT I WANT!!

This movie is the first movie I can remember making be feel legitimately bad for going to the theater to see it. Not even the worst of the Transformers movies made me feel that way. I’m always amazed the movie does not get more crap than it does.

Another year of treating the concept that speculative fiction should represent all of humanity as controversial. Another year of supposedly rational people rallying behind the viewpoint held by a man who described a woman who disagreed with him as a “half savage” because of the color of her skin. And the rest of the

The comments have been the funniest thing I have read all week. The number of people that seem to have no clue how good Chris Paul is or don’t think he is that good because he is whiny or whatever are hilarious.
