AM General liscensed the HUMMER name or rights to GM but AM General is still a separate company. The "AM" does stand for American Motors. Chrysler owns all of AMC's intellectual property and what not. They just recently discontinued making AMC's 4.0L I-6 that has been used in Jeeps for years.

As a El Camino fan this concept offends me.

Bland and grey inside, like a rental car. I was hoping to they would at least offer some interesting color combinations like they do for the Malibu. Add a little pizzaz.

They will start producing this car with a manual transmission this summer.

The 4th LX car has the same interior as the other 3 LX cars? No way! I approve of the interior, Dodge is keeping it real.

Actually GM does have an super uber-Camaro in the works to go head-to-head with the GT500KR and S/S-SRT10 Mopar is working on. My money is on the CTS-V's powertrain and maybe they'll even put the ZL1 badge on it.

Relax. The scoops are standard on the G8 GT, and may not be on the G8 V6. Personally I like them. The G8 V6 will have red lenses as well.
