We were specifically talking about the same issue affecting other automakers because it’s really dumb to attempt to single out GM here. And again, other manufacturers are victims of dumb drivers whose knees hit the ignition as I’ve just proven.

That’s because the problem was the dumb drivers behind the wheel that managed to hurt themselves....Gotta find a way to protect dumb people from themselves, and this is it.  The fact that said dumb people have to ruin things for the rest of us is another problem...

The parts not defective--the driver is.  The whole reason for this was because morons would have their seat positioned such that their knee could possibly bang into the key while it’s in the ignition and turn the car off.  You’re bitching and moaning about the society we live in, but directing your grief at GM.
