Yeah, I don't support purposefully trying to withhold money from developers while playing their games just because we may have misgivings with them.

Spartans have translation devices, the Covenant don't actually speak English in the games (although many Covenant know English in the expanded fiction) and they don't talk like that in every game, only in Halo 2, 3 (and I think) ODST. 1, Reach, and 4 all have them talking in their own language.
