There is absolutely NO requirement to touch your knee when hanging off, its a method of reducing the lean you are carrying at a given speed, no more, no less. Less lean = More ground clearance.

Agree.
No one said knee down, I said MSF doesn’t begin to cover how to hang off. Which if that dude had been doing he would have been fine. Watch the slow-mo, he was already toe down...carrying too much lean....
Maybe a little bit, but its also banked and really smooth, I have ridden it, its not that bad.
I’m convinced its the camera, that isn’t even close to trickyest corner on that road.
MSF doesn’t even come close to teaching that style of cornering. “kiss the mirror’ doesn’t begin to cut it.
Not sure that is accurate, Ducati Corsa is a different shop than it was when Rossi was there.
Yeah that vintage decal bike with the gold wheels is her’s.
Jennifer Moore (one of RRPs test riders and Dakar participant) indicated that it was certainly possible, she is all over ADVrider. She like the little CB500X so much its her personal bike now.
According to Rally Raid there is basically no way to mount a high fender on the ABS CBX due to the brake line routing....and its seriously compromised on the non-ABS models by the radiator. So if you get in sticky mud the standard yank the fender and carry on applies.
Realistically, second hand for a CB500X you are looking at ~3,800 or so, 2,600 for the L3 kit that you can install in your driveway, figure another $400-500 for farkles and various hardeners (handgards, rad covers, misc electronics an mounts) and you are more in the ballpark$7,500-$8,000 ready to roll. Kind of a lot…
Toby Price is a WHOLE different level. He is so smooth it looks like he's going slow, till you realize he is wrapping out a race prepped 500
Check out what you can do with Rally Raid and a KTM 690.......Start with an EXC and you end up around #400 fueled and loaded, 25 more horsies to play with and another 40mm of suspension travel.
Same thing in Japan oddly enough, traffic backs up and all of the motorcycles and scooters immediately head for center or fog line. This thing would be going off constantly.
How old is that R1 that only makes 128hp? Nevermind
Mostly likely, fun fact, if you disable the EVC valve on those cars they default to the 1bar blow off pressures, since those ran at 0.87 or 0.90 bar(between the R32 and R33 models) My R33 Dynoed out at 182hp with the stock boost levels, I haven’t gotten in back to the dyno since I upped the boots to 1 bar.
My viewpoint was never stated, you wrote an entire newspaper article (at requisite 3rd grade level). So yeah. The name calling wasn’t only warranted. I would say it was justified completely in your next two posts. Like I said, it matter not even a little bit what I responded, you and your soapbox were taking a little…
Way to make my point. Another 500 words please.
It doesn't matter you are going to go on some long self-righteous diatribe anyway.
