Yuppers! They had little envelopes in the pews incase you forgot yours and they had a block in the corner to explain how much you should give. It was really stupid.

So maybe the ones in your area don’t. But the ones where I’m from, do. At least the older generations. Trust me, I know the state of my mother’s and my grandparents’ finances. So saying that commenter was lying because “Catholics don’t tithe,” was incorrect.
Losing Millihelen is the Deepest Cut of all.
Traditional Catholics still do tithe; my dad wrote out the same check each week until he died in 2011. On the pre-printed envelopes that were sent out at the beginning of each year, there was a clever little scale to show what 10% of your weekly earnings were.
Catholics do tithe, actually. Not all of them adhere to it, but my mother, my grandparents, and my aunts have been doing it their whole lives.
This news is trash. This blog is not.
I love this. I love how a country can be united in art to collectively mourn but still celebrate each other.
Cocaine is an antibiotic?
It really doesn’t, though. It really doesn’t.
I read Details a lot in the mid nineties when I was a kid. I learned a lot about music from it. I’m sure it was a men’s magazine at the time but not as GQ/Maxim as they aimed to be later. Those years were good.
I’m pretty sure that was the point. War didn’t magically solve these issues, and by the third book it’s abundantly clear that Katniss is suffering some pretty major PTSD. I’m always so surprised at people that were disappointed in Mockingjay, and how everything didn’t come to a neat, happy little resolution. I liked…
Can someone help me with the cognitive disonnance here:
Behind Closed Ovens was my lunch read on Mondays to refresh and get ready for the most difficult classes of my day.
At least if they’re killing Defamer that 500 Days thing will be gone.
dont hurt em, Hari
Yes, I enjoy the pop culture posts on Jezebel, including Dirt Bag and Tweet Beat. The MAIN reason I’m here though is for the stellar writing and reporting on feminist issues. The authors here are badass. Please, Gawker, don’t make them pop reporters first and feminists second.
I can’t believe millihelen is over and Jane Marie is leaving (or worse, being pushed out). This is by far one of the best Jezebel’s sub-blog, I love, love Deep Cuts, the 24 hours Beauty Diaries, the mall makeovers stories, the talk about make-up and beauty routines, the tips and tricks...and of course the best part is…
The point is that the person in the video/photo does not identify as man or woman, neither masculine or feminine, so the fact that they are showing both masculine features (stubble) and feminine features (make up, dresses) is in line what the “vibe” they are going for. They aren’t going for a female vibe as you have…
Uh, they aren’t? That’s sort of the point?
