I’ll tip my hat to the new constitution

Almost all choose to, because it pays more than the alternatives,and/or offers more flexibility with scheduling, which is the same reason why almost everyone on the planet has a job which is not their ideal job.

The thing is, if we decriminalized sex work and worked towards making sex work into the ethical practice it can be- sex workers would be free to choose whom they work with, and wouldn’t be forced to sleep with someone they hate as much as your imagined troglodyte, so thats where your point first fails. Additionally,

Kudos to those bystanders for herding him away from her, right? Yay bystander intervention!

In Bangladesh women chose sex work over work in the garment industry. In many places there is a less desirable work than sex work. Is was U.S. centric, and glib, but illustrated a great point.

So do I. ...And yet it will not happen.

I want the author to answer this criticism!

Except (contrary to what the opposition is saying) this isn’t about legalization, which most sex workers oppose. This is about decriminalization, which is a very different thing.

Read the actual petition. It’s not just celebrities. It is authorities on the sex trade, human rights experts, doctors and sex workers themselves who have devised this petition and signed it. It is a blatantly pro decriminalization petition too, despite what this article says. What it is opposing is the

This article is absolute garbage. You have completely misrepresented what is happening here and you should be fucking fired. You crap on at length about how these celebrities are against decriminalization of sex work, yet fail to acknowledge the following statement:

It’s because pimping gets defined in an overly broad manner that is meant to remove any and all support systems the sex worker has. Landlords who rent to sex workers who use that apartment for sex work are “pimps”, making landlords evict anyone found engaging in sex work in order to avoid their own criminal charges.

I have zero problem with individuals selling sex with themselves. I think *buying* sex especially from someone impoverished is disgusting and perhaps morally questionable but whatever, it’s not my business.

So the celebs don’t care at all that criminalisation makes sex workers more vulnerable to exploitation by pimps, traffickers and brothel owners? This is essentially a labor issue. It’s a lot easier to regulate a legal industry than a black market.

I love Coco and Andy. But I have this strange feeling that Andy Richter is one dark motherfucker. Like some Apocalypse Now insanity.

See all of my previous comments about how keeping sex work underground keeps sex workers (like me!) vulnerable to exploitation by clients, pimps, and law enforcement.

Yeah, that’s kind of my reaction too. There’s a world of difference (for sane people) between being able to acknowledge “my animal brain would like to harm this person” and actually harming anyone. That level of self-knowledge, in someone with a hot temper, is valuable, and not something we should condemn; people

Not anymore he isn’t.

I'm high. It helps.

Did Shia steal her eyebrows as well as her dignity?

Or we could make him the new co-host and just let them cannibalize each other? just spit balling.
