Our department at work has an entire series of VHS tapes of these demonstrations (aero, fluid dynamics, etc.).

Irritatingly since the movie just came out: Revenant

This is the GROSS weight, i.e. with all fluids, at least 1/2 tank of gas and typical passenger load out.

Wow, that seems ungodly heavy, considering that the gross weight of my not-tiny crew cab Frontier is listed as 5600 lbs, over 1100lbs less.

Can’t believe I went through almost 500 posts and didn’t see this (unless I missed it and subconsciously don’t love it as well). Former world production speed record holder SSC Ultimate Aero:

Ha ha. It was phonetic thank you.

Hey man, we went snowboarding behind my bro’s snowmobile... It was freakin’ awesome!

Those two assholes are the best possible example that knowledge does not equal wisdom...

I have a little mass-murdering moment inside me every time I see that commercial.

Jesus Christ... Like young Optimus Prime wearing a retainer.

That has got to be the best vehicle I have seen in years, hands down. I have to hand it to the Russians for vehicular inventiveness.

Hah! I never knew that! One point for getting my learnin’ on today...

Just read your thesis. That’s brilliant.

I cannot give you enough stars and sympathy. I personally didn’t own one (my wife will generally listen to me on car advice, plus I will flat out not pay for it - she researches car purchases like crazy too, but I digress).

First off, that would be wussing out.

I know that this may seem obvious, but can’t the manufacturers put either a pesticide or bitter-tasting agent into the plastic mix? Probably would get flamed by the bunny-huggers, but it would be better than going back to regular plastics...

My want for one of those Hiluxes (Hiluxi?) is obscene. I would do curse-on-seven-generations-terrible things for one of them...

In my head as I was reading that the hill was much steeper, but I know that pictures never show how steep I really is, and on solid wet ice 0.1% grade might as well be the side of a cliff.

Okay, not supremely awful as I m sure we will hear plenty about, but this happened just before I traded my Jetta. Was leaving for work just after sunrise. Car had been left in the driveway overnight, and the temp was just above freezing. Everything looked okay until I turned out onto the road in the neighborhood,

To each their own...
