DC/MD and Northern VA are the same way now. It’s an epidemic. Couldn’t have said it better myself. They completely ruined the whole tri state area for us “normal” folks. Can’t wait for them to go back to the burbs, that’ll never happen though. I’ve been planning my escape to WV for quite some time now.

You’re 100% right, take it from me. Just this weekend I destroyed the valves on my turbo Mitsubishi 4g63 due to a thrown alternator belt. Had I had a timing belt cover this would have been a $10/10 minute fix. It’s now turned into removing the intake/exhaust manifold, pulling the head, new timing belt/head

Not too bad for the money. I’d rather have a genuine Turbo II myself if I were to drop over 5K on an RX-7.

Nice. You got 500k out of the d15b2? I don’t doubt it. Those motors are pretty much bullet proof. Such slugs but they just keep going and going forever. I had over 300 on my old beater crx before I sold it. Currently daily drive an 88 hatch with a d16a6 from an 89 crx si. Really I wouldn’t be surprised if it rusts to

150-200k? Are you kidding? A soccer mom who got the oil changed at jiffy lube once every 5 years could probably make one of these last to that mileage provided she didn’t break the timing belt or drive it overheated for an hour and warp the head. Last several I owned went 300k plus easily. The 88 I daily drive now has

I’ve owned five 88-91 crx/civics over the years. I’ve never paid over $2800 or less than $700 for any of them. The rarity of this particular model does increase It’s value quite a bit in my eyes, as does the lack of rust and rice. This is probably reliable enough to serve as a daily driver. I would feel bad about

I’d pay $1200 tops. Probably less actually. The past few rusted out beater Hondas I’ve used as appliances for my daily 140 mile commute were $700 or $800 and served their purpose very well. They were also 5 speed, fuel injected, slow, reliable, and almost a decade newer. I could see an AE86 or something fetching $3500
