Jared occupies the same space in Rectify as Brody's son in Homeland. Thus far.

FIOS denies me Sundance in its entirety. FIOS idiots.

You certainly have many bones to pick this week. It's making me tired.

I usually agree with your comments, but without being able to refute you point by point, I thought the episode was wonderful. Possibly my favorite of this season. But I didn't get what Ted Sr. was being asked/told to do there at the end and that scares me.

Good point. And Tawney so obviously drawn to him.

Boy, I guess I have no ear for these bizarre music choices for the opening. My only complaint.

I bet Amantha thought so too.

Yes, please give Daniel a dog. All that positive energy? He would just love it and space out on it.

Hate-watching is justified sometimes. Like The Killing? Especially in the hands of a talented recapper.

What's LoK?

Harsh!

"certain kind of party in the South"
I'm sure! The way I've been told that Amantha is representative of certain Southern young ladies. These are some of the things about the South that keep me happily "up North."

"trying to help Daniel join the human race again"
OK, I get that, but I question his tactics. And I still hate that actor. The folksy act never works on me, and old and super-folksy, even worse. On the other hand, I could totally have seen Daniel on a date with that much older woman at the museum! Think of the

I have to laugh— the mothers' dilemma you describe is almost universal, no matter if your child's been on death row for 19 years or in his/her bedroom upstairs. There's this saying: A mother's only as happy as her least happy child.

He was also the "angel" on Saving Grace, and made it unwatchable for yours truly.

That tether move on the part of Lezlie annoyed the hell out of me. Daniel should have turned and left at that point. It annoyed me also because it was just stupid and I didn't want it in the show. The whole party scene was not my favorite. Were those supposed to be the "cool kids" of Paulie, grown old(er)? The hippie

Nussbaum wrote an awesome take-down of Fargo in the NYer. I wanted to kiss the hem of her gown for getting it so right. She does recaps? Where???

I think he had the field to himself at first, more of less, so he jumped out in front of this recap thing.

Fuck that guy. He spent years reviewing some sitcom so stupid I can't remember its name. "Chuck"? And other crap shows. He does some decent recaps but basically has terribly mainstream, network tastes.

That was a lovely scene between Ted and Tawney in their bedroom. So lowkey and heartfelt. The efforts on both sides to start to patch things up made me feel that Ted is not 100% douche and maybe someone Tawney can work with.
