This Lezlie guy is not going to be a positive influence in Daniel's new life. Anyway, I'll be sad if we have to deal with the Lezlie character in coming episodes. I can't stand that actor.

I guess you have to be a guy. Me, I'm just annoyed by her. Jon summed it up best this episode.
A: "…to think about something other than…"
J: "Yourself?"
LOL.
Oh, and Daniel looked AWESOME making out with that young lady. I can never decide if I think he's good-looking or just nice looking, but he has his moments for sure. A nice head of hair too.
Bookmark it. Less headache.
Panties.
Well said, Asymptotic.
"You're a good sport, mother." Best line ever. There's a special love between mothers and sons.
I agree. Janet is wonderful at giving Daniel space to do the growing up he missed out on while in prison. I think she's keeping a watchful eye on him but is not overbearing, which is what he needs. He has not been out all that long. A period of adjustment is to be expected.
Oh man, I don't care for that guy at all. Maybe you have to be "country" to appreciate his folksy specialness. I'm not and I don't. I tried starting the series Saving Grace and quit at the first episode specifically because of that actor.
It was like an extreme example of how the wife can't trust the bumbling husband to take care of the kids and the house. I was pretty bored and annoyed by that whole storyline. Plus it got preposterous pretty damn quick.
There's a good reason. Most shows are still made by men and men think two women together is hot. Reverse that— what do women think of two men together? Not so hot. Especially if they are interested in one of the men.
Australia!
Me too. I just can't get on board with Amantha. I feel like her advocating for Daniel when he was on death row was probably, actually, all about herself, as everything is always all about her in her mind.
That's a great little article. Thanks for the link.
Me too as well!!!!!
OMG— I thought something had gone wrong with my, ahem, download…. It was just awful, terrible music. I could hardly stand it. Please! No more of that!
My two favorite shows! Yes!!!!
Necessity??? How about "excellent TV" as a reason for a second season? How about "What happens to Daniel next?" and everyone connected to him? Those are good enough reasons for me.
The dad's long gone, so maybe back-shadowing?
I just commented something to that effect a few comments above. I bet it would be pretty funny to go back in time a few years and see Ted pretending to be a Christian of Tawney's type in order to land her.
"Tawney is naive almost to the point of seeming dull" —ha! Right on the money. But I love her anyway. She's like a super-solemn five-year-old. Teddy doesn't get her at all. I wonder how "into" religion he pretended to be leading up to marriage. Because that boy is no Christian!
