I’m genuinely curious to know whether or not Doctor Gray has actually put forth any ideas of her own as to how one might make a game she would accept as being truly “decolonialist” — if so, I would love to read them, and I wonder why they aren’t linked or mentioned in this article.

Also, especially on PC, this sort of thing isn’t going to age well. I remember being annoyed with all the hallway loading bars in Half Life 2 when it came out, but I was running an Athlon XP at the time with either an IDE or SATA 1 platter drive. When I run the game today on a 3700x and and NVMe drive, those loads are

Loot boxes are definitely predatory, but this bill really sounds like it’s targeting a wide swath of DLC and microtransactions without regard for what parents are already able to do. I’m particularly wary of the scary language around developers monetizing addiction in children. That’s... well, that language is not

I was a bit surprised to see a Republican was spearheading this initiative.

You really don’t. I used to believe in ym union when I started in my career about 8 years back. Now I’m glad I’m opted out of them. They’re all one big pyramid scheme to line the pockets of union administration who will occasionally give the labor force a small little piece from time to time. usually when they start

I’m confused why you think Unions would stop this behavior. Or do you believe Unions don’t have this type of behavior in them? Or do you think Unions don’t usually seek to settle outside of courts because unions can’t always afford lawsuits.

There will be competition and innovation in this soon. The battle is in stage 1 right now. Here is how it will play out in the coming year or two.

I will say I find the Epic Store’s lack of “community features” as an argument for using that service instead of Steam. I find those generally detract from the experience.
