It's pretty amazing how good editing makes a cooler version of yourself compared to real life. Same as still photography which I do. Good post processing can really improve upon what you see in 'reality' and what you know it could look like whrn you're done with it.
Having a camera recording could provide a little extra motivation to actually do something worth recording, and in that regard, a GoPro could make your life better, or at least more exciting.
