The initial cost is not the issue, as weapons are very, very much like cars: Even a "free" weapon costs a lot to keep, secure, maintain, service, train for use and insure. A $5000 MRAP has a net cost of at least $100,000 (w/a giant opportunity cost on educations) and the myriad other war weapons given to local police…

I've had my Pebble for almost a year and it's probably the best piece of tech I've had since my first cell phone. I know there are limitations to it in light of other smartwatches, but it gets the job done.

Bergstrom is a major hindrance for Austin's economy (not that it's hurting or anything). If they had more direct flights to other places, they could attract some major company HQs.

When I frequently traveled along the east coast, there was almost no point in being a part of a program as the points just didn't add up. It made more sense to look for direct flights and ideal arrival/departure times regardless of airports.
