See the part where I said ‘the driver is at fault’? But like anything else when riding a bike, being 100% right does you zero good in the morgue. Less speed and more awareness would have mitigated, if not outright prevented, this.

He was an incident waiting to happen.
If you were able to see all his other videos before he decided to delete them you’d see he was an accident waiting to happen. Driving aggressively. Throwing around the middle finger at cars. And more. In one he dared an old man to pull over and get out of his car and when the old man did our hero started screaming…
I most definitely pushes on the yoke at 1:14. While it might be disconnected from the controls at that point it does push on it.
My favorite part is at 1:14 where it pushes the yoke forward and flies the plane into the ground at 150 knots. That’ll buff right out.
I wanted it then. I want it even more now, nearly 30 years later.
Well, weaponized drones are a thing on battlefields now. Cheap and easy way to harass the enemy behind their lines.
And? Pay attention to the dates on cars around you some time. So many are more than two years out of date it’s hilarious. Myself, I’ve gone as long as five years between registrations and inspections. Don’t drive like a dumbass and the police will rarely notice.
You think that makes a difference? I can walk around any parking lot and point out several cars more than two years out of date.
If the car is over 25 years old the inspection is: Headlights, brake lights, brakes(does the car stop?), horn. Done.
Drive around Texas. See how many have expired inspection stickers. It’s not something that’s super enforced as-is. I know of at least two friends with inspections 4-5 _years_ out of date. Those that want to avoid it, can and will. The worst the ticket you can get is a ‘fix it’ ticket for $10. Then you go get the…
I’d say the Range Rovers are about even. Modern ones won’t leave a nearly 50 year old one too far behind. Or the other way around.
So frustrating. We dropped by here when we were in Tokyo two years ago. We’d planned ahead and everything. The day we show up, only one or two cars are milling around. Nothing else. We were wondering “what gives?”. We went inside after we made sure we were in the right place. Inside we found out, for that month only,…
I love Rocket League’s treatment of in-game comms. You have full control. You can mute voices(just the opponent team or everyone). Same goes for text chat. Same goes for the built-in quick chat. I generally mute everything possible and play. Those other cars on the field are just smarter AI as far as I care. Makes…
What is old is new again.
The exception is after some hard laps on the track. I’ll never set the brake after I’ve got my brakes nice and toasty. Good way to warp a rotor. But it’s a real edge case. And I have to mentally tell myself “don’t set the brake” as it’s such a habit for me.
My wife got an invite to go out there today. She turned it down as she’s finishing up her latest project. I offered to go in her place.
Stef, I know you know someone with one of those. And we both know he’s done burnouts in it(or at least he’s tried). We just need to get him to lap CotA in it to set the official ‘Slowest Fast Lap Time’.
Next time. Refuse delivery. Period. They want your money more than that little sticker is worth to them. They try standing their ground, walk.
The previous owner of my Defender and the owner of that car would have gotten along nicely.
