I have a perfect record on that. Last few new cars I’ve bought I told the salesperson ahead of time “No dealership stickers/plaques and don’t drill my front bumpers.” They’ve complied without question. I don’t mind the dealership license plate frames as it helps hold the paper temp plate in place. I just remove that…
And even after all that they sully the trunk lid of my $300K car with a cheap looking dealership badge.
Countach? That thing is all Diablo.
That poor Miura. Please send it to my place so I can give it all the tender love and care it deserves. I promise to keep my pants on(until the delivery guy leaves).
I was lucky enough to meet Mike here in Austin a couple years ago. He showed up to film a segment for his Trading Up show. The day was cold, windy, and there were threats of hail and even tornadoes. All the cars had to be rushed into a dark, shitty parking garage. He arrived on time, in a good mood, and ready to get…
Used to travel for a living and rent cars almost weekly. I learned this early. In 4 years of 40+ weeks a year on the road I can count on one hand the number of times I wound up in a bottom tier shitbox. My flights always came in late afternoon on Sundays after they’d sent out everything else and before they could…
When you provide the same benefits she does, we’ll talk.
We love our Mk6. It’s a pretty decent all-rounder. Need to carry a few friends? Got it. Haul some plants? Sure. Toss it around at the AutoX? Yep. Head to Colorado to do some snowmobiling? Handles those icy roads great.
I was a teenager. And I had guns. Something like this never once crossed my mind. Using them for anything other than target shooting at a range/ranch never crossed my mind. I’m glad I’m not even able to fathom the mindset that values an innocent human’s life so little.
I think you meant to say ‘turbo’.
They’ve done demos downtown and the sound is glorious. At least with the older cars it was.
Running it around the Capitol Grounds wouldn’t be too disruptive of downtown traffic. Who am I kidding, of course it would. But it’d be pretty sweet to see.
This is the only Velar I want. Not that wanna-be.
Got it, of course. I don’t have the fancy controller though. I played Crazy Taxi and a bit of Hydro Thunder last night thanks to this post. :)
Yes, what about Lancia?
I still have a Dreamcast and the _real_ Crazy Taxi. Looks like I’m hopping aboard the Nostalgia Train tonight and firing that bad boy up for fun times with the gang of insane cabbies.
I have three big V-8s that all hate the environment. 8MPG from one. 11MPG from another. The Suburban gets 16MPG on a good day though. That’s what I drive when I’m feeling like saving the planet.
Had/Have this in our Golf R. I’d hear it plain as day when driving by myself. The second I got someone else in the car, *poof*, the sound is gone. After several weeks of trying to nail down the damn sound by punching and pushing on every surface I could reach while driving I figured it out.
