I think thanks in advance is slightly on the rude side. I usually go, “I look forward to a favourable reply,” which kind of locks them into having to do something, but it makes it seem like they still have the locus of control, or something along the lines of, “Would appreciate if you could advise.”

I sidestep most of the landmines by going with the default where possible. Mass Effect is one big example.

This is so cool! I’m only mildly interested in photography but have no intentions of picking it up, but it’s still very intriguing to see how it’s done.

You might want to know that this originated from Tokyo Ghoul, where the protagonist (who has super regenerative abilities because he absorbed a monster with such powers) had to do this as he underwent all his toes being repeatedly cut off and allowed to grow back.

“Would you kindly put them in cryostasis for 600 years as we fly around our own galaxy?”

I just did a search for the game on my phone and the search result was filled with “games” that have the term “Ninja Spinki” in their name.

This strangely reminds me of Discworld, and I haven’t even read the books.

For keeping yourself sane under torture, count down in sevens from 1000.

Well, I guess I know what I’m doing this Chinese New Year then...

I hope Andromeda avoids this. I understand there is a cause-and-effect relationship for many things, and that’s fine, because it’s actually cool to see the consequences of your actions many years back. It’s just very pissy and finnicky when you’re actively being punished by having choices taken away from you for not

(Psst. I totally modified my save to make this possible.)

(I also did this for Mordin.)

I used to be pretty good in Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory (clocked in 100+ headshots over a map at my peak), but I sucked massive balls at Battlefield 4. Suck a little less at Overwatch, suck way less at Dirty Bomb.

I love the shark! My sister used to go right to him. My dad on the other hand, loved the duck.

Let it be known I am glad Zarya is not on the list.

I used to play Wacky Wheels when I was a kid, and I saw those ads in the game all the time! A few years back, I decided to get it working on my computer with an emulator. Playing all those characters and maps that I never could was so surreal and satisfying.

You should fight fire with fire. Punishment for toxicity should be swift and brutal. It’s cool if you’re just pissed off and wanna rant for a short bit (read: few sentences). We all have those days. But if you’re shit-talking for the entire game or even your entire gaming career, you deserve to get banned from every

My gripe with Symmetra is that her damage is so high for a weapon you don’t have to worry that much about aiming. It’s ridiculous.

I know a lot of people in my circle who don’t seem to bat an eye when they spend more than a decent lunch on some Starbucks of its equivalent (there’s a surprising amount of “boutique tea” outlets where I live). Do that a few times a week and that’s a lot of money over time.

I stopped for about 3 months, sometime before Ana was released. Just came back to the game and rediscovered why I love the game. It has a very low skill floor and high skill ceiling for almost all the heroes. The community is tolerable in most instances, with some positive and negative outliers.

Say, I love the illegal-racing games in the Need for Speed series, Burnout Paradise, Blur and Split/Second. All have very arcadey driving. Will I like this game?
