If you wanna see a movie inspired by America's brief infatuation with Australia that's also complete and utter shite, watch The Shrimp on the Barbie. It's the first and, to date, only Alan Smithee film I've seen.

Also, because they're rude.

Tim Minchin also did a season of Californication, although I had to do extensive Internet research to figure out just who in the hell he was.

COF-FEE!
BE-ER!

Yeah, I especially like the idea of them trying to convince Paul Hogan that a scene where he goes to a gay bar and has a great time (but has no idea it's a gay bar) would be hilarious and Hogan refusing to do it.

Were there any other jokes from Bart vs. Australia that were references to Crocodile Dundee?

Goddammit.

Cam's a lawyer who's had several different jobs during the run of the show (one was public interest work, which usually pays next to nothing), along with some lengthy periods of unemployment.

Hey, don't forget:

No, there was no bird involved in "To see those nitrous-burning funny cars! Vroom vroom!"

It doesn't. I remember reading an interview with him many years ago where he complained that the only group that's forbidden from being the butt of jokes are the physically and mentally disabled, and I thought to myself "You've never played a lead character that isn't a gay stereotype or a straight man who constantly

"Is there a point where a film adaptation, by deviating too much from its source material, ceases to be an adaptation?"

Just thinking of John C. McGinley in that movie makes me cringe.

I'd dispute that, but it's probably been almost 20 years since she played Woman Who Convinced Drew To Quit His Job And Play In A Band For A Living on The Drew Carey Show, so it seems plausible.

I know it shouldn't bother me given all the other preposterousness in Spies Like Us, but absolutely NONE of the security camera footage from the Foreign Service exam could've been shot from the two cameras they show us during the test.

I watched thru S2 and then never picked it up again, did I miss anything?

I think it's safe to say that, by the end of S2, if you haven't seen a photo or film/video footage of the real person, the character didn't actually exist.

Escobar doesn't speak a word of English during his entire appearance on the series

OMG that was awesome. And then they tried to play it off by insisting Gainsbourg said "I'm very fond of you"

"Now, for the six people who HAVEN'T slept with Dennis' mom…"
