I saw it.  John Hurt's American accent was hideous. Apparently he figured he didn't need to bother with one if he just wore electric blue double-breasted blazers and smoked 100s the whole time, because that's enough to make the audience think you're American.

I love Amy Heckerling's story from the FTaRH commentary track about telling Forest Whitaker that he got the role and then watching him skip away.
