Oh my goodness, I can't believe this atrocity. It's just like those pirates off the coast of somalia that are killing people. I feel so incredibly bad for the multi-billion dollar conglomerate that has been riddled with lawsuits involving monopolistic abuses. This is just like a war where so many people are dying.

A side note should be made to the fact that Light Peak has a better future since it will be able to scale better than USB. Transfer speeds eventually up to 100Gbit/s if the rumors hold true.

For everyone that thinks that speed is not important try switching to a slower technology after using one that is twice as fast for a while. Or better yet just stick with USB 2 after all its fine as long as you are not transferring large files right.

@Phate: You are correct, usually that is the case. I wrote this because I saw a lot of people using the term associated with this article in the comments and I found it rather annoying.

@picrad: These are the App Store Guidelines. I think you are kind of reaching on this one. This comment is listed under "User Interface". What they are trying to prevent is someone cloning their apps and trying to sell them in their store. Nothing is preventing you from creating an app or even selling them elsewhere.
