haven't read this but I feel like it wasn't supposed to go up quite yet

Fuck you, The Killing!

That is exact the same situation I'm in. Having books on the desk looks "messy" according to the administration.

I work at the front desk of a library and I'm not allowed to read there.

"A sort of filthy triathlon" is my new favorite combination of words

The Wind Cries Mary is my least favorite… one long, drawn out gay panic joke, followed by a rape joke. It just didn't feel smart, like Archer usually does.

I'll be over here, keeping the Namor love alive for as long as I have to. Fuck off, Aquaman.

How dare you have a thought!? Professional journalist? Have thought? No!

Are these just about times when actors wanted to leave a show? Otherwise, I can think of about 30 scenes from The Wire that could be part of this list.

gonna have to go with The Eric Andre Show. Also the Edward Gorey animations from PBS Mystery.

Fair enough, that's really cool actually. Looks like I was just taught a garbled version of history (that he wrote The Montage of Attractions before he was really involved in making any art himself).

Sergei Eisenstein?

This was horrifying in a way that I haven't seen from AT since the Lich episodes. And I mean that in the best way. The ending of this reminded me of Pen Ward's other show, Bravest Warriors, on youtube, which (presumably due to the fact that it's not marketed as a kids show) is much bigger on diving into really dark

Just curious… anyone else read Grant Morrison's The Filth? That's the only truly unfilmable comic left that I can think of (not that I've read many comics).

Also, if you're going to make a movie that looks like a videogame… at least do it in an interesting way? Scott Pilgrim pulled that off (it was trying to do other things than Watchmen, of course). Something like Drive, I think, has a similar amount of violence and splattering blood going on, but the look of that movie

Yeah I should've made myself a little clearer: I hate Snyder's Watchmen, and I love the comic. I'm also in the unfortunate position of having seen the movie first.

I really hate the idea that adaptations should be devoted in any way to their source material. I'd rather watch something loose like The Big Sleep, or hell, Adaptation, than something that just tries to recreate the feelings behind a thing we already have. You can always read Watchmen. You don't need a movie that

Gonna have to go with Gone With the Wind (not that I've seen a particularly large percentage of Best Picture winners). I was 9 or 10 the one and only time I saw it, and it was a truly dire experience. Maybe I'm not giving a fair shot, but now that I'm older and understand the romanticizing of the Antebellum South that

Somehow I forgot about Collateral… that movie was a really pleasant surprise, I can't really think of a single bone I have to pick with it.
