Thanks Kats! I completely agree. My friend has a PhD in humanities and I had been studying gender and race issues for almost 8 years.

My man. I hear ya. I would ask you to question why it takes most of us men (I'm childless and un-married) a lifetime to figure this shit out. You're a great guy, I can tell, and a great father. There are great activists doing great work out there on behalf of you progeny. The only thing that I can say is: we can do…
Fuck yes! I'll leave my reply at that. It was eye-opening and it fucking sucks that it takes even someone who has professed/taught about this issue for 10 years to realize just how awful existence is. I take off my cap and salute ya'll ladies for the efforts you've all made to make America a democracy.
Hell ya! I have a weird relationship with gay bars. I appreciate what they are and I don't want to intrude upon that space unless invited and (even then) if I'm not pissing someone off by being "that c0ol straight dude" in a bar.
Ya ya. Thanks for your comments! Honestly, I'm not sure. Men are damn weird (as are women and everything in between). I wish I had better advice for you. I just try to (hippy-dippy) live my life everyday in the sense that I feel like I'm walking one step forward. You are attractive to someone. But even though society…
I fucking love this!
Isn't that kinda the point of H-Wood's casting decisions? For all the liberal "charities" H-wood actors get behind, they've helped to teach a generation of young men and women in America that your worth is about as much as your sex appeal. HOW FUCKING ENLIGHTENING!
I'm kinda drunk but that's fucking real. I've always had a major issue with H-Wood screening and casting via women. Sex sells. I hate that phrase. It naturalizes male objectification and COMPLETELY fucking denies consenting female sexuality in all it's wondrous forms. It begins with the "virgin" manifesto of Disney…
One person's (conservative) view of the world is really reflective of reality. I've taught university for over 10 years (large lectures) and I'm a low-tech/blackboard kinda guy. Never had a complaint from texting/facebooking students and most do just fine on the exams.
I completely agree. I think having dinner with someone is a mistake (what if you both dislike each other? Awkward) at first. Unless someone was kind of a foody (because I'm kinda a dirty foody), I think meeting for happy hour or a glass (or 12) of wine and maybe apps if things are going well makes more sense.
Once you've seen the goods and you know you're into each other sexually, at least you have the sex option if you have trouble finding other commonalities and interests!
Nah. There's nothing "natural" about it because we didn't really used to speak of generations. It's more about conservatives wringing hands about young women losing "purity" by sleeping around. Men are expected to chase tail so we aren't the REAL problem with hookups.
I'm stealing this. Great fucking point!
Guys, guys, and gals. We can all agree here that pretension can be widely harvested from all the top schools world-wide. Even Berkeley. Those wealthy know-it-all hippies who preach activism, smoke grass, and look down on you for not being able to afford a Prius kill me every time!
True. But she's equating racism with fat and class shaming. Different kinds of power levels here. I'm glad she saw that it was ugly but it change her worldview? Doubtfully!!! You don't just become an advocate for social justice overnight!
Texans, the mid-west, the south, etc. They love to confidently say shit like "crime would be eliminated if we just got rid of the N$GGERS" Why they think my PNW loving lefty ass would care about their racist opinions? Shrugs. To them, the only problem is that no one is talking about the N$GGER problem we have because…
...if it can save money, you'd be surprised how many businesses may wish to quietly identify as religious. Especially in small towns.
The only people who talk like this are conservatives. The use of the term agenda is a dead tip-off that we have a fox-news watcher. You know you guys use "agenda" as an empty vessel for some imagined "socialism" (the actual socialist party of this country is quite small) every time someone calls you out on your…
This isn't really weird but I thought that I'd share it because I finally had an experience that made me better understand what women have to deal with every day.
You're presuming an awful lot that she has the required equipment for that medical disease...
