No... Anyone can become a backer and purchase it at the beginning. That’s why it would not become instantly rare... For arguments sake, let’s say that we only count the people that have $500 in savings not tied to bills, that still leaves 193 million Americans.

Not inaccurate, your just misunderstanding. It won’t immediately become rare because if you want one, you can just buy one by being a backer. There is no “limited supply” to begin with. I’m not saying it wont won’t be a collector item. Just not right away, because supply at the moment is infinite.

It would take awhike for it to become rare though. They aren’t just making 500,thats just the minimum. Anyone who wants one has the chance to buy one.
