it was one of those things that saved the show. season one was bland, but when they started into those jokes and on that path of craziness it brought out the show's humor.

the thing about this show is that it probably had the most successful instance of incest humor ever found on TV. the way christine and her brother Matthew had that undercurrent of attraction was perfect and i would argue helped the show find it's voice. as bizarre as that sounds.

plus they can smoke in the theater by claiming it's part of the bar atmosphere

plus it would be a bigger reversion to the status quo than silicon valley. probably one of the biggest returns to status quo that didn't involve a dream sequence or resurrection.

it absolutely seems like they're backing cersei into a corner and forcing her to kill tommen. the extra focus on how much cersei loves her kids, will do anything for them just adds to this.
