Buddy I was rooting for Hamilton too, and I think Austria and Spain were both bullshit (not sure why Spa 2014 has any relevance to this conversation) and who knows what would’ve happened if those races didn’t go the way they did, but in the end Nico won and there’s nothing we can do.

Sorry, I seem to have misread your original comment

I don’t think most people are arguing about Rosberg’s winning as fair or not anymore because clearly he earned it. Most are arguing about whether or not what Hamilton did was fair or not, in my opinion Hamilton was clean but what do I know

Except Lewis didn’t directly do anything to Rosberg, he simply increased the likelihood of Rosberg making a mistake or being passed. That is racing at its finest. Full props to Nico for an outstanding season but Lewis had a shot at the championship and he did the one thing he could to possibly win it.

The thing is, Nico just needed to play it safe and staying in 2nd was the safer of the two options. He could’ve gone for the pass, and risk colliding with Lewis, or just stay in 2nd and wait it out. Lewis actually did a fantastic job of backing him up in the corners, but launching away in the straights, similar to

Ah yes, Lewis’ true nature. The true nature that makes him do everything in his power to try and win a championship, the absolute madman.

What else do you think Lewis could have done to try and win the championship in this race?

Lewis drove in a manner that increased the likelihood of Nico making a mistake, he didn’t crash into him, and he didn’t sabotage him. Sure, he didn’t follow team orders, but he wanted to win a championship. There is nothing wrong with a driver doing what it takes to win in a clean way.

That was exactly his intention though, the only way for Lewis to win would be for Nico’s race to be essentially ruined. He did what was necessary to try and win the championship, anyone would’ve done the same.
