A floor clean enough to eat off. Sure it will get dirty, but every time after a project or whatever, it has to be back to the shiny perfect clean. It looks nice, it makes it easier to work on your car, it makes it easier to find shit you drop, and it is a bit of my OCD.

I'll look further into this list when I get home from work.

@fuhteng: If my girlfriend was there the first time I saw a good looking girl driving at a track day she would have slapped me... best case scenario.

A hot girl, hell even an O.K. looking girl at a track day. The first time I saw an attractive female at a track day (driving), I just about fell on the floor. I saw her getting ready to go out for a session, putting her helmet on, getting strapped into the car. It was weird, she wasn't even that attractive, but it

@cobrajoe: It was at 115mph on the back straight too... luckily it got me down to 70-75 mph before I lost all brake feel. When I pulled back into the paddock I got out to walk around the car and the front right brake assembly was completely on fire. I definitely got lucky nothing worse happened. Needless to say I

I use a caliper piston that overheated during a break failure at a track day, pushed itself out breaking the seal and destroying/melting the pad itself as a paper weight... its pretty cool.

@trev: Didn't take nearly as long as expected. Maybe there will be a new news story in the next few days.

Let me go take care of this...

78MPH? I'll just drive there, I'm pretty confident my car is more comfortable anyways.

He probably bought the parking structure. Some day when I have enough money to purchase ridiculous things, islands, humans, parking structures, you know, the usual purchases of billionaires, I too will do the same thing.

@fuhteng: i sware i dont have a folder of this....

@cobrajoe: Who would have thought this post would have so many comments. :]

@burglar: Yea, I've had countless experiences like that, its awesome to meet true car guys. At car shows for example, if I pulled in with the car I track, I'd get some funny looks, it is closer to a lemons car then a show car (its not a lemons car, but its no show car... that's for sure). At the track, people see

If you own one of these... It most likely means you give your car some beating at the track. That means one of two things, you either have a lot of money (less likely), or you have a real passion for cars (more likely). That being said, most people fall into the lesser money crowd (at least who I hang around with at

Solid list, although I must say, I feel like the Volvo wagon is only there because this is Jalopnik, not that there is anything wrong with that. When I think Volvo wagon I just think nondescript, blends in, etc...

@Jim-Bob wants a Yaris: Doesn't really change the fact that 95% of electricity is just fossil fuels. It is like most other things, we remove ourselves, even if just one step from the source (in this case fossil fuels to electricity), and we act like everything is ok. For as advanced as we are, we are a pretty
