The same day that many schools are back in session, Zoom, the teleconferencing software that’s become the go-to for many educators’ remote-teaching needs for the foreseeable future, seems to have crashed for large swaths of the US.

Haha, no problem!  That’s been the main way for me to consume old episodes of Star Trek.  I actually added about three or four different series to a playlist and I just shuffle that, which gives me a decent variety but still lets me skip to the next one if I get something I really don’t want to watch.

I still remember as a child being blown away by the “World Class Leader Board” golf game pumping out recorded human voices through the tinny mono PC speaker. And it was actually quite audible! It fit on one disk, at least I’m pretty sure.

Plex has shuffle now! It's one of my favorite feature. It works at a season or at a show level. It works on my Apple TV and on my Android phone.

Is that different from the ‘shuffle’ function that you can use on any TV show or playlist?
