That’s not the entry fee. The entry fee is $1999... and for what you get, it’s a pretty decent price. I was hoping for a Mini with an M1 Pro or M2 for around $1500 but I’ll take the base Mac Studio. It’s a little more power hungry than I wanted, but it’s going to be a lot faster than I was expecting.
Yeah, but the 2011 model doesn’t support 4k resolution or do as good a job of transcoding video. My 2012 model still works, but I would be limited to a res of 1080p and slower transcoding. The M1 (or M2) mini would save me so much in electricity bills that it would probably pay for itself over the course of 2-3…

Nah... I got a monitor already. MacMini with a pro or max chip would be awesome. Also one that has HDMI, bluetooth, and wifi that all actually work properly would be nice too. I’ve got the 2018 mini and its the worst Mac I’ve ever owned.
