And you can’t see that is isn’t safer at all for anyone. Seriously. Bikes can kill a pedestrian. People coming out of a store, someone pushing a baby, a handicapped person in a wheelchair. Are you insane? Bikes belong with the other vehicles on the street. Cars have to give them space. Enforce that 3’ law.  

No.  Bikes and pedestrians should be separate.  Period.  That’s why there is a law.  Ticket those on bikes when they ride on the sidewalk.

The law is correct. Bikes shouldn’t be on the sidewalk.  Motorized scooters less so. There should be dedicated bike lanes and better enforcement.

Wow! This comment is so off base it’s like Trump wrote it. The bikes and scooters can’t ride on the sidewalk period. It’s illegal and dangerous. The drivers are required to give at least 3’ of space to any bike or scooter on the road.

Math is fine.  What is the percentage increase per ride?  With thousands of rides per day, seems like an appropriate, if even small increase to me.

Of course it occurred to me.  They should get a ticket too.  That’s illegal.

If they aren’t, they should be.  My point is that they weren’t going too fast, they were riding in the wrong place and probably deserve a ticket.  You aren’t supposed to ride on the sidewalk.
