Um what? Burner phones, cell phones... same thing. Also, Odin/Wednesday  never says anything about cell phones or burner phones at all. All he says is “what’s this” and “ I don’t want one” then throws both of them out the window. He then proceeds to wax rhapsodic on the virtues of the telegraph and evils of the

Then why did he throw moon’s smartphone out the window as well? Seriously though, this was on screen for a fraction of a second. I think the prop department just screwed up, or they made a script change after they shot the insert of the list. Threw me though because I always pause these kind of insert shots, just

Then why did he throw them out the window?

“Wednesday investigates the bag of stuff that Shadow got at the store, but crankily objects to the burner phone his body man picked up.”

Barry v Barry: Dawn of Barry”...

Well, you make some fair points on some issues. I prefer apple for a few other reasons though. Their hardware is top notch. Seriously. The compete only with the very high end android hardware, and even then... boom. Their “closed system” is by far the more secure and reliable... by a mile. Their OS is more

Then I say it is a very good comparison. Or at least what the “free market” does to a society and why we should go to a single payer system.

Also, food is regulated in the form of farm subsidies and FDA regulation. Funny how you mentioned providing food for people who can’t get it themselves... They are already cutting that. Good bye meals on wheels... Anyway. There are industries that do not work as for profit, and ones that do. Health care is one

No it was a good metaphor. Yours was bad. I can grow my own food, I can’t treat my own cancer. Just like I don’t have the resources to put out my house if it is on fire. Or track down criminals. These are things that require more resources than any individual has and are usually immediate dangers and shouldn’t be

No. The free market can not work if one party has too much power. When you have cancer they literally have your life in their hands. We need regulation to level the playing field. Imagine if you had to pay for the fire department. What happens if your house is on fire and you missed your payments? Or maybe you

Yes you are. Because that’s how insurance works. You pay into the pool so it’s cheaper for everyone. You do realize that it takes two people to have a baby, right? Someday you might get a woman pregnant and boom, you have coverage. Without it, you are going to have to pay out of pocket for the whole thing.

imessage isn’t totally proprietary as it automatically defaults to text message if the receiver doesn’t have an apple device. It’s baked right into the standard messaging app. Apple doesn’t get a pass, they just have proven over time to not want my data. Google on the other hand... it’s there entire business model.

I guess that is your prerogative... Mr. President.

Nope. Move on.

I wasn’t even criticizing this show, I was criticizing other shows that over use the tropes this show happens to be using. It could work for this show, It’s only the first episode. So far I like it.

No, I saw it. Liked it. Read my posts and try again before commenting.

Either way, 42, 45, 60 min. it wasn’t the point I was making. The point is that the over use of the “Mystery Box” trope in serialized TV is indicative of lazy writing and makes for plots that get stretched thin. Again, I would just love to see a show that premieres with a clear premise, the beginnings of character

I was referring to the standard length of most tv shows. It’s really 42 min nowadays to make more room for commercials.

Yeah, what’s your point?

Although it’s true that the American Heritage Dictionary, the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary, and the Oxford English Dictionary all list the word irregardless, they also note that it’s considered nonstandard. Listing a word as nonstandard is a way that dictionaries concede that a word is in common use, but isn’t
