Actually a mac is more versatile as it can run OS X, windows, or linux. You could try to find a notebook that you could mackintosh, but that wouldn’t be as reliable and might not be able to run the latest updates.

I use Lonely Planet. I like not having a plan and usually just use the lonely planet while at the bar or restaurant to figure out where I should go next. Great guide for those who don’t want to plan everything.

I need windows for one thing and one thing only. A few games that aren’t on OS X. Otherwise I’m booted into OS X. Windows 10 is fine. I set it up so steam big picture comes up automatically so I don’t even have to interact with the windows UI much at all. Good thing it was free or I wouldn’t even play those games.
