You must be doing it wrong. I have used iTunes since the beginning on multiple pcs and macs. Never had much of a problem. I agree it could be simplified and maybe a fresh redesign is due, but I think all the people that say itunes is shit either haven't given it a chance or don't know how to use it properly.
