Agreed. I’m admittedly a materialistic person and would love to have a million dollars but not at the risk of prison time. Even if I got away with it, it wouldn’t be worth the crushing anxiety of possibly getting found out sometime in the future.

All the stunts were real. The stunt coordinators referred to the site as Damnation Alley. Another fun fact: “Hooper” was one of the first movies to include a blooper reel during the end credits. A tradition carried on in Cannonball Run and Smokey & The Bandit II.

The wife just got a new CRV with the same infotainment system. I agree it’s not particularly intuitive, but it’s not rocket science either. We had it figured out within 5 minutes. Pairing your phone took a half hour? We had ours paired in 30 seconds.
