Your jobs question has been trotted out during almost every technology revolution. Longshoreman used to be one of the biggest professions in the world. No, containers stopped that completely. And it created new options for people.

When every article on Gizmodo is about how awful Uber treats their drivers, what do you expect Uber to do? You must have realized that there was another option besides Uber being forced to pay more to its drivers.
ahh - re-read. For clarity’s sake - the “Lurch” is the letting the clutch out part, and doesn’t cause wear on the syncros - only the clutch/driveline
The slipping it into neutral at a light vs keeping your foot on the clutch is good advice. In addition to saving wear on the throwout bearing it’s easier on the crankshaft because with the clutch in all that force is being transferred to whichever main bearing/journal handles the thrust loads.
whats more expensive? clutch rebuild of your 6r80 or a brake job on an F150? whichever is cheaper, do that.
Raphael,
In the ten years of living here I’ve never seen a specific area go down in rent. The city as a whole did in 08 but other than that it would be strange to see that happen especially when Astoria is already sky rocketing. Great food and you don’t feel like you’ll be stabbed unlike some new “trendy” areas in…
While it’s easy to condemn her, I’m gonna go out on a limb and say most of us have probably ridden in a trunk of a vehicle at some point. I know I have (thanks, mum!).
You sound like a record from the 1970s.
The problem is you get people whining about how work trucks need to be allowed to get lower fuel economy so that they can actually do work. To which I say fine: make your passenger cars more efficient to make up for it.
If it’s operated on public highways, yes, one CAFE regulation. And one emissions regulation and one safety regulation. No exemptions.
They just need to admit CAFE is toothless, period. they say their goal is to improve the fuel economy of the fleet of cars and trucks on the road. But CAFE won’t do that. CAFE does not give car buyers any incentive to choose more economical vehicles. All it does is threaten the manufacturers by saying “you’d better…
I’ll repeat what I’ve been saying for years, we need to have one CAFE pool for all “passenger vehicles” regardless of size. That means you average the Volt and the Suburban and the Prius and Land Cruiser together.
It’s no longer a baja “bug”, but now a baja “feature”
Based on the article and replies, I'm guessing you mean that gun people don't actually read the laws they protest either. I agree 100%.
I wanted to go to that and I completely agree with Simeone. I think it’s wrong to ignore the entire car’s history and focus on a certain race or original spec. Preserve the car’s journey, its story is greater than just day one.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again,
In that case its not the war that seems pointless to me but the loss of human life. The average German solider wouldn't have conceived a plan to exterminate entire nationalities by himself, but he was manipulated into killing and dying for that cause.
Whenever I read a story like this, I'm always saddened by the pointlessness of war and the loss of human life. These stories demonstrate that we are capable of behaving humanely to each other, yet it only seems to happen briefly.
