The longevity of the BUFF naturally makes me wonder: If it ain’t broke, why fix it? How many other vehicles, systems, and gadgets can that be asked of? And how much stuff that does need fixing could have been fixed with the time, effort and treasure spent on fixing what ain’t broke?

Maybe this is a good place to point this out: It’s clear that Brooks panicked when he realized he was about to fall into the hands of the police. I’m not saying he was up to no good. I’m saying he was a black guy about to fall into the hands of the police -- and what black guy is going to trust the cops not to mess

Alongside these instances of incredibly obtuse “Karen” behavior there’s also been a flurry of panic attacks throughout small-town America as one town after another becomes convinced the big bad black Antifas are about to come storming through, raping and pillaging as they go. Somehow I doubt it’s a coincidence that

Pardon me for sounding superstitious, but isn’t it scary for the Golden Gate Bridge to start howling for the dead at this moment in American history?

For the love of God! The Nazgul live!

Can somebody tell a naive foreigner what this ongoing thing is with “Karen”?

D. Walker (see thread) makes an interesting observation when he asks if people won’t take anime seriously if it isn’t violent or full of suspense — in other words, dark.

Dunno if anyone will read this, but regarding point # 5 — they did this deliberately in “Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.” The scene where the Genesis Device on the Reliant is about to blow, and the Enterprise is desperately trying to get away, and Kirk asks hiow far they’ve gotten, and Chekov replies in a hopeless

Dos this Jeep have a name? Or did the original owner only ever refer to it as the family Jeep? (Me, if I owned any vehicle for that long I’d hang a name on it like “the Rust Bucket” or “Millennium Falcon.” On the other hand, Captain America never gave his Mighty Shield its own name ...)

On the other hand, there is such a thing as pushing a joke too far, and One Punch Man may be crowding his limit.

“So what did you play with this year?”

You … you mean the Donald had one of his own babies aborted? Oh no! Oh, the horror! Oh, the humanity! What is this world coming to?

Just had to put my two cents in here … I recently made the acquaintance of an old lady, an expat who came home to the Philippines from the States — and who, as it turns out, is a firm supporter of Donald Trump. When I asked her why she said, “But think of the poor babies! At least Donald is fighting for the poor

But seriously, folks -- can we take this as a sign that not even the most obliviously self-centered narcissist can ignore the level of self-inflicted stress Trump’s been under for the past three going on four years?

I am … unimpressed. It looks to me as though this thing’s designer learned all the wrong things from looking at the FN P90 submachine gun.

My first and lasting reaction is … “Well. Running out of ideas, are we?”

Especially in more action-packed shoen anime like “Blade of the Immortal” and “My Hero Academia,” how much CGI gets used and in what way?

Okay, for my two cents — the shows I find interesting in this line-up: “Blade of the Immortal,” “My Hero Academia,” “Gundam Build Divers Re:Rise” and “Special 7.”

This is the first and lasting impression I was going to post — that Galo looks like Gurenn Lagann’s Kamina without the jacket, and with a great big pole thingy instead of a sword. And this in turn tells me the whole movie might be a case of TTH — Trying Too Hard, in this case trying too hard to be as bleeding-edge

“Strung up on two poles” -- a shout-out to the most famous scene in the Conan saga, Conan’s crucifixion in “A Witch Shall be Born?” (Which, BTW, was even more badass in the original novella than it was in the movie.)
