I actually enjoyed it knowing that it was gonna build up to nothing. All I wanted from this episode was a party full of sci-fi characters, and that's exactly what I got. But, yeah, I could see how it's anti-climactic.

Rick and Morty is like if a Fox cartoon is allowed to be as insane as an Adult Swim cartoon. It's got the relatable family stuff, but it's got hamster-in-butt-world too.

I want all three of them together, just because Justin Roiland arguing with himself is my heaven.

I liked how they showed Rick's feelings toward Morty to the viewers, but NOT to Morty. It gives Rick humanity and a redeeming quality, but doesn't totally change his and Morty's dynamic.
