That’s an apt comparison. Their frontman, Jeffrey Lee Pierce, lived a “Lizard King-esque” lifestyle and died at 37 in the mid-90’s of hepatitis and cirrhosis of the liver. But he did last a decade longer than Jimbo did.
That was the era when The Gun Club were critics’ darlings.
