My wife really wanted to go see "The Dark Tower", as she loved the book series. But I told her the consensus was that it sucked (she doesn't read reviews and I haven't seen it nor read the books), and it would have worked far better as a limited cable series.

You're fortunate to have lived in a radio sanctuary city back then. I live there now, and when 'XRT flashes back to '79, it's a way better radio experience than I remember.

I had "Armed Forces", but never heard any Elvis C. make the airwaves on craptastic Mpls. rock radio then. We sure got a lotta' f*ckin'Jouney, Molly Hatchet and April Wine, however.
