Well played.
Well played.
Living within 2 miles of work would be great, however that is not feasible for a large portion of the population. That being said, my wife and I have never had a second car, I bike to work as often as necessary, usually 2-3 days a week. At 45 minutes (17 km) biking each direction I get the benefit of a good cardio…
Capacitors are also the reason some electronics (including cell phones) have a combination of buttons you need to press together for 30+ seconds. The pressing of the multiple buttons closes a circuit that in turn drains the capacitors.
I have this problem as well. My solution is that I never put long sleeve shirts in the dryer, they always go straight onto a hanger out of the washing machine. They stay on the clothing rod in the laundry room until dry, then I move the hanger to my closet.
Whenever you go out to buy something for a project, always buy every possible item you could need and keep the receipt. After the project is done, return all unused items, this can include uncut lumber I discovered.
While I agree this might be nice, it is difficult as things like GPU are refreshed so quickly.
I usually just carry one spare tube. Most of my rides are under 60 km and are loops, so getting home if I get a second puncture usually isn't a bike deal.
I've worked as a bike mechanic and still can't get the rear derailleur on my bike to work correctly, and it is a decent Shimano.
I couldn't agree more.
I would recommend using MediaPortal rather than XBMC. I built a HTPC in January and spent a couple months trying to get XBMC to work as expected on Win 8 and had no luck. MediaPortal took very little setup and has been rock stable for me.
I am glad you mentioned that you need the Cat6 connectors as most people miss this. It is also worth nothing that the Cat6 connectors are much more difficult to wire than the Cat5E
I am fortunate enough to be able to ride my bicycle to work a few days a week. To me this is the best way to save money on the commute because I get to save money, around $5 a day, and I get exercise which keeps me more focused, productive, and I sleep much better at night.
I personally have never minded the sound of water dripping down a drain pipe. That being said, this is a clever idea, though I suspect it will increase the chances of getting a clogged downspout.
I have to sleep with the window open year-round, much to my wife's chagrin. Even when the skin temp on my feet is cold, my feet can be sweating. If I was to wear sock I would never sleep due to too much body heat.
I finally built an HTPC this last year. It functions mostly as an aggregator of content. Most of my media lives on a NAS. Previously I was using my PS3 to stream from the NAS, but was running into limitations on supported file formats and was not happy with the presented UI.
How well do these Smart Thermostats work with regards to pets in the house? Are the occupancy sensors on them able to ignore pets?

I have an easy way to get the benefit of a knot that won't come undone without having to resort to a double knot, as you describe.
The easiest analogy is a RAID 5 system. You write the data but you also write the parity information. Because of this you are able to recover data without all of the original bits being present.
I've been using the forearm trick for a few years. I could have sworn I first saw it on LH.
