I've long thought Buick needed to bring back the Riviera name plate. Bring it back as long as it was done in an innovative way. It needs to be a leader in design and technology. Every brand should have one model in their lineup that can be a flagship. One that shows what the car maker can do.

I am young and I have had 3 Rivieras...its not a tired name...

What's wrong with the name? Even if younger people don't know the name, it graced some of the best looking cars GM ever made.

Bring it as a Riviera. The old Riv's of past were sleeker, sportier and different from most of all Buicks offerings. It would be perfect for the U.S. and a great way to bring new customers to Buick in this country.

As an owner of a '63 Riviera, I guess I have to disagree with the use of the term 'tired old' to describe the name. What would you suggest? XP48i? I agree there aren't a lot of 30-year-olds here in the US who know what a Riviera is—most people I know seem to immediately mention the boat-tail model—but Mini and Fiat

The Riv used to be a cool car - see the mid-60's model. It was car that was nice like a Caddy, but a bit more young-minded and sporty. Think of something today's 335i buyer would buy in 1965.

Nice the see the Buick Tri-shield back in its original red, white and blue.

Riviera might be a tired old name, but it's certainly better than using some alpha-numeric jumble that has to be deciphered with a secret decoder ring.

She should've been charged with wreckless driving. Eh? I'll show myself out...

"I think we should only get three honks a month on the car horn. Then, someone cuts you off, you press the horn, and nothing happens. You're like, 'Crap! I wish I hadn't seen Ricky on the sidewalk!'"

Children in the backseat can cause accidents.

Ever notice that there are a lot of Ford vehicles that are funny when you put anal in front of the name?
