I swore up and down jalopnik that I would never own a SUV. Sedans are weapon of choice. I managed to live 3 years (twins and 3 yr old) with my EVO and this was fine with rear facing seats. Three car seats wide fit tightly in a EVO IX. And all was well..... Until the kicking the seat and sibling fighting/screaming…

It is an interesting gouge.... I really like the Model S, looks and all, but here in Austin TX they are starting to be as common as a Audi A/S5/7.... They do blend quite nicely. While they do look cool and have all the right "stuff," I would gladly take an EV Fit (249 a month) for my daily commuter over an S. …
Actually a good point. This might be the same reason classic SUVs (Icons, Broncos, Scouts) are popular. They are everyman's toys, to show that there are some rich are grounded down to earth people.
