Agreed - this “marquee” match up has little affect on either teams playoff seeding. They won’t meet in the playoffs unless both make it to the Finals. This is basically an exhibition in the middle of the season.

The NBA should not schedule these big name match ups this late in the season, especially games between marquee East and West teams players. Get the big name inter-conference games out of the way by NFL’s week 17, then keep the teams in their conferences, then have the majority of the last games be divisional match…

I don’t think the article is pro-Jim. I don’t archive Laker articles but Ramona’s stuff has generally put the Lakers’ front office in a positive light or portrayed them as victims of circumstance. That’s why it’s interesting :)

Interesting - Ramona’s reporting and sources have always had a pro-Jim slant. Her reporting and sourcing were very different then Woj or Kevin Ding’s, who clearly got a lot of their info from Pro-Jeanie sources.
