Bad idea. You can’t re-cast Leia, it’s a character intimately associated with the same actress for almost 40 years now, and seriously, you couldn’t find someone who could fill Fisher’s shoes anyway. Re-casting would look like a disrespectful moneygrab by Disney, and rightfully so.

Eh, I don’t think recasting would work here. Carrie Fisher is Leia. Recasting her after 5 movies (including one that came out 2 years before Episode 9) would be bad and I don’t know who they would recast as her.
