Yeah, I hear: “Buy it now still and we’ll promise we’ll do that later, we swear!”

I’m sorry, what? How the heck is not having solo achievements “predatory behavior” in any way, shape or form? People need to stop throwing these terms around. Marketing a game to children and encouraging them to make use of saved credit cards on their parent’s phones is predatory. Having certain aspects of your game…
This is the sort of thing where I feel old, because I cannot fathom why achievements and trophies are such a big deal that some players will actually reject a title entirely over them.
For real, I was hoping for another L4D2 kind of game, but every new bit of information about this makes the game look worse and worse. They are kneecapping their own game and I don’t think they care.
we’ll have more news as we strategize on potential ways to make it happen.
I was really excited for this game originally, but the more I hear about it the more my enthusiasm is blunted
Its just 13 screws to get the SSD out. I’ve had laptops that take more screws to get the cover off.
“You have every right to open it up and do what you want...”
I hate Kotaku’s clickbait. The video makes it pretty clear that the “battery will kill you thing” is a bit of a joke. I mean, yeah, they do explicitly remind you that batteries are fire hazards, which they are, and they don’t remove the battery, so we don’t know how permanently glued to the thing it is, but when you…

Counterpoint: Jack, Jed, Ash and Neon all fit in the original game’s four character name limit. I’m willing to let it slide.
This game was not designed as an MMO. It was originally going to be a survival game but Amazon made them change it to an MMO so they could make more month with it. That is the reason why as people have said it does not feel like an MMO. All I have seen is that its very “survival” heavy, gather and crafting and very…
It’s a new MMO in an era when every established one is several years old. It has come out, and now seems playable, and in a few months it will either be the subject of an In the Land of Dying MMOs-style piece or it’ll be the new biggest game in the world.
WoW has been losing players like a sieve since before the whole toxic workplace culture fiasco and not everybody digs Final Fantasy. It’s just filling a niche.
Her eyes are farther apart, her jawline is broader and her ears are bigger and lower, so she looks like a different person. Not much, maybe like a twin. I may catch flack for this but honestly her face looks more masculine now.
It’s definitely possible to be technically better - more detailed, more complex geometry, better and more comprehensive animation - while being artistically worse.
I could be in the minority here.
I appreciate your perspective, but as a white person, white people who do not already have a negative view of slavery will not be swayed by mechanics in a video game.
french, belgium, germany, spain, portugal, england, as you know, european countries with a big colonnial empires. We start to learn about it around 7 to 8 year old, and go deeper into it as we progress in our school programs. We don’t sugar coat our history at all, but while we learn many things from the first couple…
If you think the US is in denial, you should see some French history books in school. Basically slavery existed only at the hand of Europeans, and benefitted Europeans and American only. Even the law of recognition published couple of years ago excluded the African and Arabian slave trade altogether, and I quote our…
