I am confused. They dumb down and overweigh the cars to make sure that they handle poorly like stock cars of the 70’s. Then they create rules that make it very difficult for any team to outperform another and then they wonder why the rolling parking lot is so tight that there are big crashes.

But it is the pilot in command’s responsibility to know the hours of operation and to either be vigilant or, better yet, avoid them if possible if they are active. IFR flight plans will have the controller vector the plane…

That video of the probe zooming by Pluto and then off into the darkness made me sad. New Horizons is going to be so far away. Its like seeing a plucky little robot fall to its death doing its last noble duty.

Not to mention pure land mass. I mean, as much as I love Germany and the many awesome things it has going on for its citizens, when you’re country is the size of just one US state (~wisconsin) with only one climate type and time zone, etc... well, its a lot easier to take care of your people and give them nice things.
