They’re not anymore, but in the days of the NES Nintendo was known for being very draconian in their policies for games. They had quality and ethical standards that all games had to adhere to, and they only allowed publishers to release 3 games per year for the system. It was all to combat what had led to the

Didn’t Reagan refer to his wife as “Mother” a few times?

I remember my wife was planning to put up a gag photo on her second playthrough (she rushed through the game once to avoid spoilers, and actually spent more time exploring on her second time), but when she got to that scene Gentiana actually photobombed that big group shot, and it ended up being such a perfect moment

Maaan... dudes in fighting games sure do love fighting 10 feet away from active volcanoes.

I do wonder... is Trump the Most Hated Man in America right now? Like... I know that some presidents are described that way, but I’ve never seen this much open disgust with a President before. Even Bush, who I saw constantly mocked and ridiculed, still garnered at least some respect. As well, in Bush’s time there was

I agree that it makes sense for the plot in that way, but really... it just lasts too long before you’re given the sword. Once you have your father’s sword the whole thing becomes at least tolerable, if not ideal. I feel like after the first hallway of dealing with an MT soldier without your full equipment you pretty

Uh... I think you might have replied to the wrong thread, because this one wasn’t really talking about the details the FE games.

The King family has been courted very extensively by conservatives ever since it became immoral in America to criticize King and the Civil Rights movement. They’re basically the Right Wing’s “black best friend” that can be used to absolve their actions of accusations of racism. You see the same thing with celebrities

Um... yes? I’m not sure what you’re arguing for or against with this statement.

I think it would be pretty cool to see game development move sort of “laterally”, with a focus on new systems adding new features like mobility over simple growth in power. But it’s also tricky to get these new ideas in the hands of gamers without essentially forcing it on them.

I think we’ll have to wait until March of next year to really know for sure... I’d bet they’ll give the 3DS at least another year of decent support before potentially leaving it behind (depending on how successful the Switch ends up being)

That’s what I was thinking too. The Switch is simply too large to be a full portable system... it’s the same reason you don’t see people casually pulling out tablets in line at the grocery store... they’ll pull out their phones, since they actually fit in their pockets. They could always bank on some nostalgia and

I think it’s really going to depend on whether the user base moves to the switch. If they start to see sales of 3DS software flagging in proportion to the Switch’s growth, it could be seen as a sign of 3DS players abandoning the old system in favor of the new one. I’m sure they’re still going to give some token

There are definitely a lot of games that didn’t use the second screen for integral features, but it would be pretty ridiculous to sell an add-on for their new system to play the older games, only to have the caveat that 80% of the library isn’t compatible. Even if a game only uses it for one feature (like, if the game

But how would that work with the screen size of the Switch? If there was a way to mount the joycons to the top and bottom of the system I suppose you could hold it sideways and you’d probably get enough real estate to fit everything on the screen, but the two-screen system of the DS family makes it inherently

True, but I wonder for how long. They’ve also said that they’ll continue to support the WiiU, and they pretty much stopped supporting that last Summer. I don’t doubt that, for at least 2017, the 3DS will still be banked on by the Big N as a viable platform for games... I think if Switch sales get at least Gamecube

Awesome :) I do wonder how 3DS support will continue once the Switch comes out. I’m not sure if the Switch can completely overtake the 3DS as peoples’ primary portable gaming system... it’s certainly portable, but it’s just a touch too big to easily carry around, and it doesn’t have quite the battery life of the 3DS.

I sincerely hope no one sends any dumb ass death threats to the Girl Scouts to try and convince them not to participate. It makes the rest of us look bad, and it makes it easier to dismiss the legitimate criticisms and protests.

Thank god we didn’t elect Hillary, since she was so clearly in the pocket of Wall Street executives based on the fact that they hired her to speak irregularly at their meetings. It’s so much better that we literally have team of Goldman Sachs executives in the White House... they’ll definitely prioritize the needs of
