Fighting doesn't work on psychological bullying. Especially the kind kids now probably have to deal with. I don't see how punching someone will take down a Facebook page dedicated to how terrible you are or how it will stop texts too.

Is this still available somewhere?

I am a huge fan of Vonnegut and his writing, but you can tell even in his stories that he had certain beliefs or preconceptions about women that are certainly a product of his time and most definitely outdated. I think all of his writing was deeply personal and of course informed by his experiences so I can forgive

I completely agree, especially about "professional" fanfic writers. What do you think Steven Moffat is? Neil Gaiman? It's not fair that fanfic gets such a bad reputation. A lot, A WHOLE LOT of fanfic I read is soooo much better than "real" fiction.

Wow, I really respect the thought put into this decision and I appreciated the explanation of why and how you approached it. I have to say, I really did enjoy FFF and the Steve/Tony fic review was absolutely hilarious. And I am an avid consumer of fanfic, good and bad. I really do think it was mostly the context that

A few are missing. What about the giant mechs that inexplicably look human? What about the alien races that stand in for various ethnic groups? And interspecies relations that cause the drama!

Haha, I'm sure the last ep won't mind, might even be happy about an open relationship with this week's ep!

Disagree. Not on its last legs at all, the legs have already gone and now it's just clawing at the ground to drag its own torso around like a mostly decomposed zombie.

To be fair, Supernatural always leaves the majority of plot movement towards the last 2 or 3 episodes of the season and always, always has tons of filler that's only tangentially related to the overall arc. The problem now though, I think, is that the quality of filler is so bad that it really does feel like filler

Was it that much of a gimmick episode? It hardly had enough gimmick in it to merit even that. What happened, a bang gun, an anvil, a pan, and concussion birds that they didn't bother to even animate (just played the stock sound effect)? Oh and a green screen room that looked like an actual room because of the way the

Did I hallucinate this? How has no one mentioned the awesome scene where she menacingly whispers, "He knows my secret" and snaps the dude's neck (paraphrased)!?! Is it a callback to the oh so unnecessary killing in the first episode where Oliver does the exact same thing or did they just run out of killing lines?

Was it because of the accent? Or because something was wrong with her lips? I swear it was like she just pulled them off a frozen street light. It was super weird.

That was also one of the best speeches ever. I think the point was you were supposed to think that Samuel L Jackson has almost just about lost it, the way really senile ranty people do. He goes on about that shit that went down that one time and they ate each other and everyone's thinking, what? And then he gets eaten

This is me, with concert posters. Especially with those goddamn limited edition lithographs. Expensive souvenir considering regular concert tickets can go anywhere from $80+ and the posters themselves are like $20+. What do I do with them? Roll them up, stuff in closet.

I think what Me, I'm Counting means is that the majority of the harm done to a lot of wildlife species isn't particularly specifically meant to cause them harm, but results as a by-product of our indifference. Deforestation or over-fishing, for example, aren't meant to specifically destroy the homes of dolphins or

I think there are some nice movies on that list, but can we at least get some testimonials about how "life-changing" they are? Even fictional ones? Like, I used to throw away my empty cans of soda because it was convenient, but ever since I saw how much it upset the blue cat people I stopped? I know there are a few

Haha, okay, agree to disagree for sure! I think in a competition of what's the worse thing ever produced, everyone loses (at least their sanity).

As for why writing gets picked on more than the other creative pursuits, it's because we do worse stuff. It's sad, but it's true. And yes, I say this as someone who has written fanfiction.... but we do WORSE stuff.

Whoa, whoa, wait a second there. Fic writers are "at BEST invisible?" I don't know about you, but last I checked Ian Fleming didn't write Skyfall, Moffatt didn't create Sherlock Holmes, and Neil Gaiman isn't responsible for any part of Germanic mythology. Maybe you see a difference between officially published "fic"

Oh definitely likewise. This is one of the reasons I absolutely love io9, for insightful individuals and the ability to really engage in discussions with them. Anywhere else and I wouldn't have been able to have had such an enlightening and civil exploration of these interesting topics. So thank you very much as well,
