I agree but unfortunately (or fortunately for some) the wonderful, smooth as silk 3.3l boxer engines keep winding up in the ass end of VW Vanagons after the underspeced tranny, wheel bearings and brakes on the SVX break. Not that I necessarily have a problem with this.

This guy. Without him, we wouldn't have Subarus, Eastern Bloc Fiats or leaking Canadian fiberglass deathtraps.

Yes, I know there were much earlier powerful cars but the Lamborghini Miura really ushered in a paradigm shift like no other "super" car before or since.

I must second this nomination! I can't believe how much $$ I dropped into this game. Well, maybe I can...

Unfortunately, no. Because we were a for profit endeavor we never really had the time to do an actual write up. Also since there were two discrete events there were two versions of the Ford Escape Hybrid. The first was the Kat-5 which was built up from literally nothing in 6 month in preparation for the 2005 DARPA

Autonomy. Not that it's cool from a drivers perspective but it's definitely coming.

Genesis!

Wow! Thanks Jalop guys! You've inspired me to upload photos of the 2007 DARPA Urban Challenge to my Flickr page. They're not in order yet but here's the link: [www.flickr.com]

Making your very own autonomous vehicle. This is how I spend most of 2006-2007.

Aside from trolling thereifixedit.com this one actually happened to me. We were driving back from Victorville to New Orleans towing a two axle RV trailer when the wheel bearing of one of the 4 wheels gave out. The wheel stuck at 45 degrees and caused all kinds of issues as well as a long skid mark. We pulled off of

Air Conditioning!!

Absolutely hell yes thankyouverymuch!!

Two Tons. 90HP. 4 speed w/ no overdrive. I guess it's part of what makes the VW Vanagon what it is.

I think they were in Romania with three Supercars...

Turbo and in this condition. It would cost way more to restore a Corvair to this condition than to buy this. NP!!!

Seriously tho... The Mach 5 from the original Speed Racer!

Now playing

The Ford Escape Hybrids as seen in the Science Channels Robocars! Oh yeah, baby!

Well, yes. I must agree.

Honda N600 (or AZ600). Look at the kind of hot chicks this ride attracts!

Wow! That is stunning! That's all.
