Probably any 60's era pre-emissions American car, Corvair excluded.

@FoxCMK: OK, where is that picture from? I was planning on going with a SVX Subaru transplant for my Vanagon but now you're making me rethink my decision.

@duurtlang: No insecurity. I just don't want want them to try to hard to be EXACTLY like Top Gear UK as I think they will spoil it. Also, the TGUK table is a Jag V12 (I believe) which is definitely British so we should have a USA block of some sort. Still though, rod sticking out of the block is a nice touch...

I think I would have preferred a nice big Viper V10 block instead of a foreign V12 for the table. You know, being Top Gear 'Merica and all...

@transanalog001: @Duurtlang - The T3 was the last gen of the forward control VW's. The T4 and T5 have crumple zones other than your knees.

VW Vanagon nuts. The last generation of VW's forward control van has got a pretty hardcore fan base. Adherents to this car love the versatility, maneuverability, utility, and uniqueness of this car. There are many websites that offer advice parts and upgrades. Many companies offer kits that upgrade the anemic and
